Nicki Minaj officially on tour with Britney

April 11, 2011

The Queen Nicki Minajesty will be joining The Holy Spearit on tour this summer! Sources reveal that the deal was officially finalized last week. After Enrique Iglesias pulled out last minute due to his ego and feeling like he'd actually be opening for Britney and not co-headlining the tour (obviously) as discussed, BritBrit managed to snag someone much more deserving and far more superior. Any exposure is good for Nicki right now even though she's gotten pretty big this last year, but maybe she'll garner some new fans after this tour. I would really love to go, but it's not worth it to see Brit waddle her way around the stage lip-synching (badly) and not putting any effort into her dance moves.

Rihanna feat. Britney - S&M RiHmix

After asking her fans via Twitter who they would like to see her collaborate with next, Rihanna actually managed to deliver sooner rather than later. Miss Britney Spears was the most voted and history was made. Two of the worlds biggest popstars together on one track since Gaga and Beyonce. I love Rihanna to death, but this is kind of a hot mess. Instead of doing a completely new track, she got Brit to add her auto-tuned voice to a song that's already been out for months! We'll see how well it does on the charts but honestly, Britney's voice does not suit the song at all. Should be fun to dance to at the club though...

Ellie Goulding performs "Starry Eyed" on Jimmy Kimmel

April 09, 2011

Ellie Goulding made her US TV debut this week with a performance of her UK top five hit “Starry Eyed” live on Jimmy Kimmel. She sounded a little sick or something of the sort because her voice doesn't really sound at full capacity, but she still did a great job. I had the pleasure of seeing her live in concert a few weeks ago and she was flawless. I'm also totally crushing over her keyboardist. So cute.

Cedric Gervais feat. Jessica Sutta - Where Ever You Are

April 08, 2011

Ex-Pussycat Doll, Jessica Sutta, has landed another feature on another great dance track. She killed it in "White Lies" with Paul Van Dyk a few years ago, and now she's hooked up with Cedric Gervais for the song "Where Ever You Are", included in his second album Miamication. The album also includes features from the likes of Mya, Second Sun and Rachel Starr. If you like electronic/dance music, you may just really enjoy his album.

Alex Gaudino feat. Kelly Rowland - What A Feeling (Official Promo Video)

Kelly Rowlegend pulls another "When Love Takes Over" with her new feature on DJ, Alex Gaudino's new dance track "What A Feeling". This is definitely a club-banger. Kelly is flawless in dance music. I hope to hear it out dancing one night! Here is the official promo video.

Introducing: Yasmin

I'm doing a lot of "Introducing" posts, but it's not my fault there are so many new artists coming out right now! I promise I'll stop! Ok, no, that's a lie...

Yasmin Shahmir who performs under just Yasmin or sometimes also known as DJ Yasmin, is a British DJ and singer-songwriter signed to record label Levels Entertainment, an imprint of Ministry of Sound, and began her singing career in October 2010 when she appeared on rapper Devlin's single "Runaway". Her debut single "On My Own" was released on the 30th of January. This girl is just stunning. I can look at her all day. Enjoy her newly released video below.

Fefe Dobson - I Can't Breathe (Video Premiere)

Fefe Dobson recently released her new video for her 3rd single "I Can't Breathe" off her new album Joy. It's a fairly decent radio-friendly track. But nothing comes close to "Stuttering". That song is the shit. But I gotta give it to her, the girl really knows how to pick her singles! I'm not a huge fan of half the album but she has a few awesome pop jams in there. Most of her singles are gold though. The video isn't that great either. With all that wind flying at her face, she should have re-named the song to "I Can't See!". That tear at the end is totally because of the wind machine too...

Nadia Oh - Taking Over The Dance Floor

Nadia Oh is back! I forgot all about this bitch. I was so obsessed with her debut album back in 2008 after hearing her single "Hot Like Wow". The singer-rapper is set to release her new album Colours this year and has been in the studio working with Space Cowboy again. Her first single is called "Taking Over The Dance Floor (Kate Middleton)" and is being released April 24th. Here is the promo video for the song.

Ummm... Not exactly what I was expecting, but I'm sure the rest of the album will sound better... I hope. Let me just show you what I mean, under the cut.

Introducing: Katy B

Katy B is an English singer-songwriter from South London. She is a dubstep, R&B, funky, house and UK garage singer. On A Mission is her debut album, released April 4th through Rinse and Columbia Records. The album features singles "Katy On a Mission" and "Lights On" with Ms. Dynamite, both of which peaked within the top 5 in the United Kingdom. Her tracks are pretty funky and cool. If you like music from UK artists, she's definitely worth checking out. "Broken Record" was released as the album's third single on March 27th. Check it out, along with her other released singles videos, under the cut.

Introducing: Sabi

April 07, 2011

Sabi isn't such a newcomer when it comes to the music industry. She was actually half of an indie female hip-hop duo called The Bangz. The singer-rapper was lucky enough to get noticed by none other than Britney Spears and asked her to feature on "(Drop Dead) Beautiful" on her new album, Femme Fatale. I didn't have much hope for her after hearing her stupid rap about a pot of steaming vegetables, but her first solo offering "Goodbye" isn't that bad. Sabi is signed to Warner Brother Records and is currently working on her debut album. Listen to "Goodnight" below.

Britney's Body Double Revealed

April 06, 2011

Can't say I'm surprised at all, but the investigating crazies over at ONTD have found out that Britney used not only one, but THREE stand-in's for her new "Till The World Ends" music video. The person in the image above is actually just Tiana Brown in a wig! Who the hell is that, you say? She is the choreographers assistant. She also danced for Britney’s Circus Tour serving as a choreographer, dancer and co-captain, as being in music videos "3" and “If U Seek Amy”. According to sources, she looks so dead inside because of all the meds she's on. Apparently she's only on set when she needs to be in front of the cameras, she doesn't rehearse, and all of the dancer's contracts have drug clauses in them!
I guess I spoke to soon earlier today. Britney's not really back at all.

Britney Spears - Till The World Ends (Video Premiere)

Britney's sort of back! She looks better than she has in a while and it looks like she put more effort into the choreography this time around. It's also nice to see she doesn't look so dead in the eyes and is back to flirting with the camera. The video is very much "Slave 4 U" Part 2, but I'm not complaining. I guess they all heard the world was ending and decided to get together in a grungy underground hole and have one final sex orgy dance party. Love it!
