Introducing: Lyrica Anderson

You may or may not have heard about this next artist as Timbaland's new protege. Well, Lyrica Anderson is the most recent artist signed to Timbaland's Mosley Music Group on Interscope Records. For years she has written for a bunch of heavyweights in both pop and urban music like, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Charice, Jason Derulo, Amber Riley and more - she'll also be making appearances on Timbaland's upcoming projects.

She's also caught the attention of notable music influencers such as Rap-Up, Hip Hollywood, LA Weekly, Billboard, Kontrol Magazine and more. As "Jello" has a very niche sound, her other promo single out now, "Love Me", has a great mainstream appeal.

Introducing: Alexis Jordan

If you didn't know who Alexis Jordan was, you do now! Alexis is a singer and actress from Columbia, South Carolina. Jordan rose to fame as a contestant on the first season of America's Got Talent in 2006. After being eliminated from the show, she began to upload cover songs to YouTube which led to millions of views. The exposure led her to the attention of Stargate and Jay-Z, who both went on to sign her to their label, StarRoc/Roc Nation. Her debut single, "Happiness", was released in September 2010, and reached number one in Norway and the Netherlands, and also became a top-five hit in Australia and the UK. "Good Girl" was released as her second single in February 2011. The song debuted at number six on the UK Singles Chart, giving Jordan her second top-ten hit in the UK. It also reached number fifteen in Ireland, and became her second chart-topper on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart in April. Jordan's self-titled debut album was released on February 25th, but I only found out about it today! Her songs are usually remixed and end up being great dance tracks for the clubs. Introducing: Yasmin

I'm doing a lot of "Introducing" posts, but it's not my fault there are so many new artists coming out right now! I promise I'll stop! Ok, no, that's a lie...

Yasmin Shahmir who performs under just Yasmin or sometimes also known as DJ Yasmin, is a British DJ and singer-songwriter signed to record label Levels Entertainment, an imprint of Ministry of Sound, and began her singing career in October 2010 when she appeared on rapper Devlin's single "Runaway". Her debut single "On My Own" was released on the 30th of January. This girl is just stunning. I can look at her all day. Enjoy her newly released video below.

Introducing: Katy B

Katy B is an English singer-songwriter from South London. She is a dubstep, R&B, funky, house and UK garage singer. On A Mission is her debut album, released April 4th through Rinse and Columbia Records. The album features singles "Katy On a Mission" and "Lights On" with Ms. Dynamite, both of which peaked within the top 5 in the United Kingdom. Her tracks are pretty funky and cool. If you like music from UK artists, she's definitely worth checking out. "Broken Record" was released as the album's third single on March 27th. Introducing: Sabi

Sabi isn't such a newcomer when it comes to the music industry. She was actually half of an indie female hip-hop duo called The Bangz. The singer-rapper was lucky enough to get noticed by none other than Britney Spears and asked her to feature on "(Drop Dead) Beautiful" on her new album, Femme Fatale. I didn't have much hope for her after hearing her stupid rap about a pot of steaming vegetables, but her first solo offering "Goodbye" isn't that bad. Sabi is signed to Warner Brother Records and is currently working on her debut album. Listen to "Goodnight" below.

Introducing: Fanfair

Fanfair is the newest girl group to come out of the UK. The group comprises of four girls (Jessica, Aimee, Anara & Roberta) in their twenties from all over the UK and Ireland. None of these girls are really new to the scene, but they've all come together in search of musical success.

Roberta first graced our screens in the live finals of the very first series of ‘The X Factor".

Anara is a hugely in demand model who has appeared in campaigns for Levis, Head & Shoulders and Tresemme.

Jessica spent her younger years making a name for herself in theatre, starring in lead roles in ‘The Lion King’ and ‘Chicago’.

Aimee is best known for going head to head with Cheryl Tweedy back in 2002 when she just missed out on a place in Girls Aloud in ‘Popstars The Rivals’. She then formed the band Clea, having three UK hit singles. When the band split, she became a successful model.

Introducing: Kristina Maria

 
So after seeing this chicks video, I just HAD to talk about it. Her song has been playing on the radio here in Canada for some time now and if you didn't know it by now, I love me some trashy pop!

21-year old Kristina Maria is a Lebanese singer, born and raised in Ottawa. Her latest single "Let's Play" is another radio-friendly pop tune that is bound to get your body moving.



Now, the video. This tricky bitch has you thinking she's a giant whore with her misconstrued lyrics about wrestling her and playing with all her toys, when in reality she's really just inviting two of her male friends to come over and have a 3some play on their Nintendo DS's.
